Connie McCoy

May 5, 1945 — November 30, 2016

Connie McCoy Born May 5, 1945 to Erie Lee Minica and Guy Dunlap. Raised in West, TX, she was a graduate of Permian High School in Odessa, TX. She began her FULL-time career shortly after high school and worked as an Administrator, Postal Worker, and Insurance Customer Service Representative. She retired from Swantner & Gordon Insurance after 23 years of service. She never met a stranger and enjoyed conversation, especially if it involved her kids and grandkids. When people spoke of her, it was with love and admiration for the Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and woman of Faith that she was. She taught her kids and grandkids to love God first, and Family just behind that. Known just as much as Baseball, Softball, and Football cheerleader and top notch stock show Mom, she never missed an opportunity to support her kids and grandkids. Connie was preceded in death by her parents and older brother Kenneth Dunlap. Her Survivors include Husband Jesse, Sons Shane (Wife Kayla) of Abilene and Justin (Wife Windy) of Tomball, Granddaughters Katlyn, Karena (Shane and Kayla), Hadlea, and Alaynah, Grandsons Greighson and Leighton (Justin and Windy), and sister Cheryl Shanks. Visitation will be Friday December 2, 2016 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held Saturday December 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Presbyterian Church in Adamsville. Burial will follow in Hines Chapel Cemetery. Sneed Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
