Joe Edward Lindsey, 90 of Lampasas, TX died September 20, 2016 at home. Ed was born July 8, 1926 in Copperas Cove, TX the son of Joe S. Lindsey and Alma (Walker) Lindsey. He lived in the area all his life. Ed married Jeanette Roberts November 25, 1950. Ed worked on ranches and then went into the Army during WWII and served in Germany. After the service he worked in service stations and then went to work for Civil Service at Ft. Hood, where he was supply clerk, retiring in 1981 with 31 years service. He was song director for numerous churches and led revivals for over 50 years. He was a deacon and a member of Saratoga Masonic Lodge 546 A.F. and A.M. The most important thing about PaPaw was that he loved his Lord Jesus and his family. His grandkids were his life and he loved them with all he had.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, 2 siblings, a son, Jerry Lindsey and granddaughter, Shelly Lindsey and son-in-law, Earnest Cole.
Visitation for Mr. Lindsey will be Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery.
