Albin Edward Beyer, 80 of Lampasas, TX died Saturday June 25, 2016 at Rollins-Brook Community Hospital. Albin was born June 4, 1936 in Midfield, TX the son of Joe Beyer and Lillian (Kalinec) Beyer. He served in the United States Air Force for 23 years in these duty stations: Montauk AFB Long Island; NY, Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ; Weisbaden, Germany; Wheelus AFB, Tripoli, Libya; McCord AFB, WA; Vietnam; the Pentagon; the American Embassy in Oslo, Norway; and Scott AFB, IL. He retired as MSGT and then began a career as an intelligence analyst for the Department of Defense after graduating from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science Political Science degree. He married Shirley Lawber on June 6, 1964. He was a charter member of Hill Country Church (PCA) and he and Shirley participated in square dancing for many years.

Sisters-in-law; Tootsie Beyer, Patricia Lawber
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Al was preceded in death by his parents and by brothers; Joe Beyer and W. Fred Beyer and by sister, Ronnie Johnson.
A funeral service for Albin Beyer will be held on Friday July 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX at 3:00 p.m. Visitation is Friday from 10 until 11 a.m.
