Loita A Ramsey

Loita Amanda Ramsey, 102 of Lampasas, TX died Wednesday June 15, 2016 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital. Loita was born December 21, 1913 at Nix, TX the daughter of K.E. Ringer and Gorda (Palmer) Ringer. She married Chester Hayden Ramsey Jan 11, 1936, he preceded her in death Oct 5, 1988. Loita lived in Lampasas all her life and enjoyed raising cattle and working at Cox & Shanks, where she loved the customers. She enjoyed quilting, flowers, Texas Rangers baseball and cooking. The family especially remembers her cooking delicious pecan pies and fried chicken. Survivors include: one sister, Marguerite Ramsey of Lampasas Niece, Cindy Ringer of San Angelo Nephews; Larry Ringer and Arlene of Junction and Mickey Ramsey and Debbie of Lubbock 4 great- nephews and one great niece also survive, as well as numerous friends. Loita was preceded in death by her nephew, Billy Ramsey Aug 11, 1996 and by brother, Harvey Ringer July 27, 2003 Visitation will be Friday June 17, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Loita will be buried at Oak Hill Cemetery. A memorial service will be Saturday at 10 am at Sneed Funeral Chapel.
