Grace Whitehead

Grace Lorraine Whitehead, 91 of Lometa, TX died Friday May 6, 2016 in Lometa. She was born May 10, 1924 in Rio Dell, California the daughter of Harry R. Shafer and Doris (Bowman) Shafer. She attended school in Klamath, CA. Grace married Otho Smith Whitehead on January 28, 1944 in Cresent City, CA. Visitation will begin Wednesday May 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Hills in Lometa. Burial will follow at Senterfitt Cemetery. Survivors include son, James (Jimmy) and Beverly Whitehead of Kemp, TX Daughter, Betty and Greg Hines of Gatesville Grandsons; James Jr. (Jamie) and Ginger Whitehead of Lewisville Shane and Tabitha Whitehead of Lometa Jason and Summer Whitehead of Eustace Toby Hines and fiance’, Silvia Talhami of San Antonio Tannon and Roxanne Hines of Manor 6 great-grandchildren Sisters-in-law, Adele Davis, Pat Whitehead and Wanda Shafer and a host of nieces and nephews in Texas and California. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, by her parents, by 3 brothers, one sister and an infant son. Sneed Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
