Bonnie Daugherty

Bonnie Louise Daugherty, 87 of Lampasas, TX died Monday April 25, 2016 at her home. Bonnie was born January 20, 1929 in Lometa, TX the daughter of Robert Beryl Rogers and Thelma Kate (Hooten) Rogers. She graduated from Lometa High School and North Texas State University with a Bachelor degree in education. She married Travis E. Daugherty, June 16, 1951. She taught school in Ballinger for one year, in Killeen for 2 years and in Lampasas for 29 years. She was health teacher and coached basketball and volleyball. She was a member of First Street Church of Christ and Ladies Golf Association, Retired Teachers Association and Lampasas Lady Democrats. Visitation will be Thursday April 28, 2016 from 9:45 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral service begins at 11:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa. Survivors include, son, Morgan Roger Daugherty and wife Toni Daughter, Melinda Daugherty Wheeler and husband Jim Grandson, Evan Wheeler Granddaughter, Kori Fancher She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband and by her sister.
