Neal Crain passed away Saturday, April 16th at 1:15 pm at his home in Topsey, Texas of Cancer. Neal was born April 2, 1955 in Azle, Texas, the son of Billie M. Crain and Geneva Delano Crain. The Crain family moved to the home place at Lometa, Texas in 1958. Going to school in Lometa, Neal was very athletic, playing sports and winning UIL in Poetry and Pros Reading. He received an Academic Scholarship, attended Tarleton University to become a coach and math teacher, but while working in construction part time, he found a love of carpentry following his family roots. Moving to Dallas, he worked his way to management as a Superintendent for $10 million plus projects. He was loved by owners, architects, sub contractors, and his employees. Neal excelled at all of his hobbies; hunting, playing golf, singing, and dancing. The last couple of years, he was a sub at Copperas Cove ISD coming back to his original deal. Neal is survived by his mother Geneva Delano Crain, sister Lisa and husband Joe VanNatta, brother WD Crain and wife Jodi all of Lometa, daughter Glenna and husband Ryan Krueger of Mesquite, son Sean Crain and wife Ryann, 3 granddaughters: Gabrielle Robbins, Mara-Jade Robbins, and Lyvv Crain, and one grandson, Karter Crain, of Celina, Texas, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daddy Billie M. Crain, grandparents Floyd and Lota Crain, Bill and Letha Delano, and his brother Lloyd Dale Crain.
