Merle Stewart

Merle Watson Stewart, 104 of Lampasas, TX died Monday April 11, 2016 at Regal Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Merle was born August 11, 1911 at near North Rocky Creek in Burnet County, TX the daughter of Edward Watson and Verlie Seftan (Grinstead) Watson. She married Carl A. Stewart and he preceded her in death in 1983. Merle was a homemaker and a member of 1st Street Church of Christ. She attended Redbud School, later Briggs and came to Lampasas to finish 11th grade. She lived in Briggs most of her life. Graveside services will be held Friday April 15, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Watson Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday April 14, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. Survivors include, son James Stewart (Linda) of Kempner Daughters; Carla Crooks (Dean) of Amarillo Donna Roberts (Vern) of Elgin 12 grandchildren; Mitzi, Doug, Greg, Deana, Kristi, Brent, Laura, Steve, Mollie, Shana, Jason, Dustin Great-grandchildren; Amy, Chris, Chad, Kayla, Josh, Courtney, Blake, Nathanail, Hadassah, Zane, Anna, Emma, Casey, Kaitlyn, Bailey, Scott, David, Madison, Amelia, Eric, Shannon, Erin, Riley, Kolby, Kaitlyn, Kelsi, Jack, Weston, Jasie Great great-grandchildren; Preston, Annalise, Max, Wyatt, Addie, Henry, Julia, Isabella, Jaden, Kason, Kensley, Kylie, Leo, Elana, Ryland, Camden, Kye, Cora and Sam Memorials may be sent to the Watson Cemetery Association or Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
