JoAnne Deck Stewart, age 58, passed away in her home on March 22, 2016. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. JoAnne was born on December 4, 1957 in Alexandria, Louisiana to Rosa and Woodrow Wilson Deck Sr. She was a graduate of Copperas Cove High School Class of 1976. She married Robert (Bob) Stewart on December 4, 1975 in Copperas Cove, Texas where they resided for many years before purchasing property in Lampasas County. JoAnne worked for Hal Harton Ford, Lampasas County, and spent her final 9 years working at MD Able Company. She was also well known for her work with her husband at Bob’s Discount Fireworks. She loved watching the customer’s children grow and change over each season. When not working or selling Fireworks she would be busy crafting. JoAnne and her sister Violet owned a craft booth for many years in Wimberley, Texas at Wimberley Market Days. She is preceded in death by her father Woodrow Wilson Deck Sr.; sister Rosie Sullivan; brother-in-law R. D. Odom; and niece Amy Van Winkle. Survivors include husband Bob Stewart; daughter Tristine and husband Nelson Range; grandson Clayton Maxwell and soon to be grandson Charlie Joseph; sister Violet Odom; sister Gladys and husband Mike Cummins; brother Woodrow Wilson “Mickey” Deck Jr. and wife Cheryl; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
