James Kenneth Green, 89 of Lometa, TX died March 18, 2016 at Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Round Rock, TX. Kenneth was born December 24, 1926 on the Baggett Ranch near Lometa the son of Joseph Frank Green and Edith (Spivey) Green. He grew up in Lometa and later served in the U.S. Army during the occupation of Japan. He married Billye Brazil. Kenneth worked as an accountant in the Houston area for many years and retired back in Lometa in 1992. He was a member of Lometa United Methodist Church , where he held several offices. He was also active in Boy Scouts as an adult leader, Lion’s Club, American Legion and was instrumental in Lometa Regional Park. Survivors include his wife, Billye Green of Lometa Sons; David Green of Seattle, Washington Michael Green and wife Patricia of Fredericksburg Daughter, Shelley Kennedy of Georgetown Sisters; Martha Elaine Green of Lampasas Yvonne Carson of Waco 3 grandchildren; James Patrick Green and wife Taryn Stephanie Nicole Flores Ethan Orion Kennedy 4 great-grandchildren Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother Robert. A visitation will be held Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held Monday March 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Lometa United Methodist Church, with burial at High Valley Cemetery near Bend, TX.
