Daphne Blanton

Daphne H. Blanton, 95 of Lampasas, TX died March 2, 2016 at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen. Daphne was born March 11, 1920 in Lampasas, TX the daughter of Joseph Harris and Gussie A. Soules. Daphne was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved flowers and gardening, and was a member of the garden club and art club. She had lived in Houston until 1998, when she moved to Lampasas. Daphne was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church. Survivors include her son, Tom M. Blanton and wife Kerri of Lometa Daughter, Jo Alice Hancock and husband Floyd of Kerrville Grandchildren; Mike Blanton, Jeff Blanton, Melinda Beall Great-grandchildren; Hallie Blanton, Kaylee Blanton, and Miles Beall Daphne was preceded in death by daughter, Cheryl Blanton, and her husband and siblings. Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery. Sneed Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements
