Laura Ellis

Laura Louise Ellis, 92 of Lampasas, TX died March 2, 2016 at Regal Nursing-Rehab. Laura was born October 29, 1923 in San Saba, TX the daughter of Lester Thorp and Clara Potts. She worked for Producer’s Produce for a number of years. Clara liked oil painting, and made her own Christmas cards. She was a song writer, poet, and could play the auto harp. She lived in Lampasas all of her life. Survivors include her son, John Thomas Brittain Daughters; Clara Smith of Lampasas Tena Taylor of Lampasas Judy Buchner of Fayetteville, NC Grandchildren, Lynsetta Hefner, Dinah Ratliff, Tanya Taylor, Lawrence Taylor, Amanda Brittain, Sarah Buchner, and Daniel Buchner And several great-grandchildren Laura was preceded in death by her son, George Joseph, brother John Thorp, sister Evelyn Thorp, and great granddaughter, Amber Marie Hawkins. Laura’s body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Sneed Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements
