Erna Beth Cooper Weeks, 71, of Cedar Hill, devoted wife and mother, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, February 7th, 2016 in Grapevine, Texas.
Beth was born on March 13, 1944, in Gatesville, Texas, to William Ernest Milton and Lyda Elizabeth Cooper. She was united in marriage to Billie H. Weeks on November 24, 1962 in Evant, Texas. They moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1962, where she worked at Aetna Life and Casualty for 15+ years, before relocating to Cedar Hill, Texas in 1989. She joined the Army Air Force Exchange Service in 1990 as a Human Resources Specialist and retired from AAFES after 21 years of service. She was very honored to have been able to play a role in the support of our military service men and women during her time with AAFES. In her spare time, Beth enjoyed family gatherings, trips to San Antonio to see long time friends, working with her houseplants, crafts, social media, and her beloved multi-generations of dachshunds. She had spent the last 8 months in joyous anticipation of her first grandchild, Cooper Jack Anderson, due to arrive on March 24, 2016.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Billie Weeks of Cedar Hill, Texas, her two daughters Layne Gollier (Clement) of Colleyville, Texas, and Megan Anderson (Ryan) of Fort Worth, Texas, her brother, Scottie Cooper (June) of Brownfield, Texas, along with many wonderful cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Cooper, mother, Lyda Cooper (McMeekin), and sister Nayda Viveen Cooper.
Services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 1 pm at the Pearl Community Fellowship Church at 6735 FM 183, Pearl, Texas. The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, February 11th, 2016 from 5-7pm at Sneed Funeral Chapel, 201 E. 3rd Street Lampasas, Texas.
