Lloyd “Don” Conner, age 69, died January 12th at his home in Bee House.
Don was born on May 26, 1946 to Lloyd and Margerete Conner in Hamilton, Texas.
Don grew up in Bee House, Texas and graduated from Evant High School in 1964. Don is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including the Purple Heart. He married Margaret Ann Bourland on April 5th, 1969. He earned a bachelor and a master degree and worked as a social worker with the aged, blind and disabled before taking on the role of owner/ manager of H.T.W Lumber Company in Hamilton, Texas for 35 years. Don served his community and his church for many years.
Don is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ann, his son and daughter- in-law Michael and Jesame Conner of Pflugerville, his daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Scott Campbell of North Richland Hills. He also leaves behind five grandchildren, Kendal Conner, Jack Conner, Justin Miles, Katelyn Campbell and MacKenzie Ryan Campbell, as well as many beloved cousins and extended family.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 am with service to follow at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 16th at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas, Texas. Graveside and burial to follow at Bee House Cemetery. Donations to Bee House Cemetery Association and Salvation Army in lieu of flowers.
