Barbara Bishop

Barbara Ann Bishop (Bobbie), 68, of Lampasas, passed on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at her home in Lampasas Texas. She was born March 16 of 1947 in California to Wilma Nadine Jackson and Everett Martin Baxter. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dwight Henry Lee Bishop, married on October 9, 1969. Her brothers Johnny and Russell Baxter, her children Toni Halstad, Martin Fletcher, Sherry Stallings, and Brenda Anderson, also survive Barbara. Barbara is grandmother to 13 and great grandmother to 16. Barbara’s mother, father, and grandsons DeWayne Halstad Jr. and Jason Fletcher preceded her in death. Barbara was a long time resident of Texas, living in the Kempner and Lampasas area 1972. Barbara loved to cook, Bingo, entertain friends, and to simply sit and visit in the company of her family. Barbara loved the outdoors and traveling to visit with her mother Wilma prior to her death in 2015. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Sneed Funeral Chapel.
