Novella Carson

Novella Catherine Carson, 87 of Lampasas, TX died Monday December 14, 2015 at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple. Novella was born August 12, 1928 in Marble Falls, TX the daughter of Clifford R. Shugart and Ethel May (Williamson) Shugart. She graduated from Briggs High School and attended college. She married T. R. Carson and had lived in the area all her life. Novella was a member of First Baptist Church in Lampasas, Order of the Eastern Star and the Garden Club. She retired from U.S. Civil service at Ft. Hood. Survivors include 4 sons; Harlan Carson (Carmen) of Beaumont, TX Randall Carson (Annette) of Tatum, TX Terry Carson of Muleshoe Lee Carson (Tina) of Briggs 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren also survive Novella was preceded in death by her husband, T.R. Carson, by her granddaughter, Allison, brother Clifford Shugart and his wife Dot. Visitation will be Saturday December 19, 2015 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held Saturday Dec 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Prairie View Cemetery near Briggs. Memorials may be given to the Prairie View Cemetery Association.
