Glenda Combs

Glenda Anice Herrington Combs went to be with the Lord on the morning of December 7, 2015 after surgical complications. Glenda was born in Houston, Texas on April 12, 1936 to Albert Franklin and Tommie Enola Herrington. She married the Reverend Doyle Keith Combs on April 18, 1954. After the kids were a little older, Glenda went back to school and earned her teaching degree and enjoyed a career as a public school teacher. Glenda is predeceased in death by her father, Frank, mother Tommie, father-in-law Howard Combs, mother-in-law Winnie Combs, great-granddaughter Addie Langley, and great-grandson Landon Smith. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Doyle, four children, Brenda Kay Babb and husband Gerald, Cathy Sue Combs-Langley, Johnny Doyle Combs and wife Karen, and Sherri Denice Morrison and husband Edward, her brother Frank Herrington, and sister-in-law Barbara Haltom. Glenda is also survived by grandchildren, Patric Waters and spouse Sandra, Josh Esparza, Kiann Esparza, Robert Babb and spouse Valerie, Emily Richardson and spouse Matthew, Drew Babb, Jon Combs-Langley, Stephen Langley and spouse Jennifer, Amanda Langley, Amy Nash and spouse Trey, Rusty Combs and spouse Leah, Gary Combs and spouse Natasha, Doyle Thomas Morrison and spouse Courtney, Mary Ervin and spouse Andy, Charlotte Morrison, Lori Williams, Ryan Morrison and spouse Shelby, Mark Morrison, Julie Elmore and spouse David, great-grandchildren Dylan Waters, Cameron Waters, Saryn Waters, Hadley Richardson, Elizabeth Babb, Jacob Babb, Christopher Combs-Langley, Jonathan Combs-Langley, Jeremiah Langley, Lyla Combs, Luke Combs, Karlee Combs, Judah Combs, Landon Ervin, Lydia Ervin, Hayden Morrison, Hunter Morrison, Sarah Williams, Alisha Williams, Matthew Morrison, Casey Morrison, Noah Morrison, Luke Morrison, Caleb Morrison, Olivia Elmore, Anna Grace Elmore, Benjamin Elmore, and one great-great-grandchild, Brayden Combs-Langley. Glenda was also blessed to have three foster great-grandchildren. Special family includes Jeannie Herrington, Danyelle Smith, Cathy Lynn Redenbaugh, Ed Hill and Julie Hill. Pall Bearers – Patric Waters, Jon Combs-Langley, Stephen Langley, Doyle Thomas Morrison, Rusty Combs, Gary Combs. Visitation will be Friday 12-11-2015 from 4-7 pm at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral will be Saturday 12-12-2015 at 10 am at Star Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hurst Ranch Cemetery. Sneed Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
