Roy D. Shroyer

Roy D. Shroyer, 83 of Lampasas, TX died Monday October 26, 2015 at his home in Burnet County. Roy was born March 17, 1932 in Burnet County, TX the son of Houston L. Shroyer and Nora (Harris) Shroyer. He graduated from Lampasas High School in 1950, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War 1954-1956, graduated from East Texas A&M 1961. He worked for Texas Instruments 1956-1969 as an Engineer. He owned and operated Texas Video Sales in San Antonio 1969-2000. He taught High School Mathematics and Physics. Roy continued ranching on the family ranch he grew up on from age 4. Survivors include wife: Peggy Shroyer Children; Steven Shroyer and wife Julie Ronny Shroyer and wife Delanie Brad Shroyer Anne Moore and husband Bill Grandchildren; Matthew Shroyer, Kathryn Shroyer, Monica Shroyer, Derrick Shroyer, Leslie Brady, Ryan Moore, Marcus Moore, Chris Moore, Vaness Hellinger, Mose VanKleef, Gretchen VanKleef. 5 great-grandchildren also survive. A memorial service will be held on Friday November 27, 2015 at New Covenant in Lampasas, TX. at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be sent to Hillcountry Youth Ranch in Ingram, TX or Livingway Family Church, Harlingen campus.
