Margaret J. Lewis

Margaret Jane Lewis, 75 of Lampasas, TX (formerly of VA) died Friday September 11, 2015 at Spring Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lampasas, TX. Margaret was born August 10, 1940 in Camden on Gauley, West Virginia the daughter of Burl “Poke” Wood and Olga (Adamovich) Wood. She married Robert Joseph Wood May of 1960 in Waukegan, IL. Margaret served in the U.S. Army for 3 years and later worked on military posts for the PX. She was a Christian, loved her dogs and traveling. Survivors are her son, Robert Joseph Lewis Jr. and wife Deborah of Culpeper County, VA 2 daughters; Crystal Varney and Shane of Lampasas Carolyn Lane and Ricky of Brandy Station, VA Sister, Donna Irons of FLA Brother, Paul Wood and Patricia of FLA 5 grandchildren; Zane, Britni, Ronni Jo, Michael and Cody 1 great-grandchild, Audey Jo Henniger Margaret was preceded in death by her husband and by her brother, Hoggie Wood. A memorial service for Margaret will be held at a later date in Virginia. Her body will be cremated.
