Richard “Ricky” Allen Belyeu, 63 of Lometa, TX died Friday September 4, 2015 at his home. He was born August 31, 1952 in Belton, TX the son of Leonard Dewey Belyeu and Ida Jean (Joiner) Belyeu. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1971 and attended some college courses at Temple College. He joined the United States Navy and retired after 20 years service. He served on the USS Eisenhower. He was in the Navy band early in his career and near the end of his career he served in the Persian Gulf during the Gulf War. He was a member of Lometa United Methodist Church, where he served as worship leader, choir director, was a member of the church council and chairman of finance council. He was a member of Lometa American Legion Post 116. Rick also was a volunteer at Lometa Senior Center and served on the Board of Lometa Housing Authority.

Sister, Brenda Green (Jim) of Georgetown
Brother, Wayne Belyeu (Kathy) of Lometa
Numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews including Kathe and Danny Dixon of Lometa.
Rick was preceded in death by his brother, Robert “Bobby” Belyeu and by his father, Leonard Belyeu.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday September 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Lometa United Methodist Church. His body will be cremated.
