Kathleen Farquhar

Kathleen S. Farquhar, 89 of Lampasas, TX died Wednesday August 12, 2015 at Rollins-Brook Community Hospital. She was born December 1, 1925 in Lampasas County the daughter of Monroe Coleson Self and Mordie (Manning) Self. She graduated from Evant High School in 1944 and later Jackson Business College. She married Thomas Floyd Farquhar on April 14, 1951 in Lampasas. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lampasas, the American Legion Auxilliary, and the Pierian Club. Survivors include 2 daughters; Shirley Ann Abney and husband John of Lampasas Deborah Kay Harrington and husband Joe of Comanche Son, Thomas Mark Farquhar and wife Shawna of Lampasas 8 grandchildren; Stacey Kinser and husband Eric, Matthew Abney, Stephanie Vickery and husband Chris, Coleson Farquhar, Tealey Farquhar, Kayleigh Farquhar, Amber Prather and husband Cody, Hunter Carver and 5 great-grandchildren. Sister, Vonceil Lamb and husband Evan of Attica, NY Brother, Evon Self and wife Donnis of Lampasas Sister-in-law, Pat Morris and husband Jerry of Naples, TX Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband and by her daughter, Karen Sue Farquhar and by her brother Billy Ray Self. Visitation will be Friday August 14, 2015 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted Saturday August 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel, with burial at Beehouse Cemetery in Coryell County.
