Jean Kirby

Jean Kirby, age 73 of Lometa, TX died July 5, 2015 at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple. Jean was born April 29, 1942 in Brownwood, TX the daughter of Melvin Pafford and Willie Lois (Boyd) Pafford. She married Everett A. Kirby on February 16, 1963. Jean went to work for the Mills County State Bank, and then worked at the Citizens State Bank in Lometa for 18 years. Most recently, Jean worked as a real estate agent. She was a member of the Texas Association of Realtors, and the Lometa Garden Club. She was a member of the Lometa Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Everett A. Kirby of Lometa Sons, Scott Kirby and wife Jacqueline of Haslet Bodie Kirby and wife Ashley of Lometa Sisters, Patty Roberts and Peggy Sanders Grandchildren, Elliette Kirby, Laken Kirby, Claire Kirby, Tori Shoemaker, Gabe Shoemaker, Denman Kirby, and DerekScott Kirby Jean was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Nolan. Visitation for Mrs. Kirby will be Saturday July 11, 2015 at 11:00 at the Lometa Church of Christ. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Senterfitt Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Hal Everett Scholarship Fund or Senterfitt Cemetery Association.
