Addie Mary (Backhaus) Dumas, 93, died July 1, 2015 in Frisco, TX.
Mrs. Dumas was born July 15, 1921 in Pipe Creek, TX the daughter of Julius Backhaus and Minnie (DeKunder) Backhaus. She was married to J.L. Dumas on May 18, 1945 in San Antonio, TX. She resided in Lampasas for 67 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was a bookkeeper for Dumas Brothers during the life of the business. She loved her family and her church.
Survivors are a daughter, Elizabeth Sperberg and husband Ron of Frisco, TX; grandchildren, Kimberly Hendricks and husband Lee, Jayelle Dumas, DeLane Dumas, Leigh Sperberg, Angela Sperberg Daniel; 6 great-grandchildren, Dylan Kelley, Rylie Kelley, Sarah Sperberg, Emily Sperberg, Hunter Daniel and Ashley Daniel; brother, Charles Backhaus and wife Marilyn; nephews and nieces, Jean Glass and Erle, Wendell Sheffield and Regina, Chris Backhaus, Linda B. Humphrey and Gary, Kathy B. Solinas and Roland, Kay Ann Backhaus, Tim Backhaus as well as great nephews and great nieces.
Addie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Richard Dumas, her brother Emil Backhaus, her sister-in-law, Hazel Dumas.
Funeral service will be held Sunday July 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
