Robert Keown

Robert Chisum Keown, age 84 of Lampasas, TX died Friday May 15, 2015 at Seton Hospital in Round Rock, TX. Robert was born July 3, 1930 in Wink, TX the son of Cyrus Wesley Keown and Trantle G. (Collard) Keown. After graduating high school at the age of 16, Robert went to Allen Military Academy. While there, he met his future wife, Martha. After graduating with an associates degree, he received an appointment to West Point, but after being there a short time, he returned home. He didn't like New York or being away from South Texas or his family. They married and he completed his education and graduated from Texas A&I university in Kingsville, TX. After graduation, he began his career with the Celanese Corporation in Bishop TX. He served during the Korean War. His career was spent in refinery operations. Survivors are 2 sons; Robert A. Keown and Leslie N. Keown Daughter, Jamie Parker Memorial service for Robert Keown will be Tuesday May 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.
