Charles Norman Lancaster, 87, of Lampasas, died May 12, 2015 in Lampasas. He was born March 17, 1928, in Lampasas, to Norman and Bernice Lancaster. After graduating from Lampasas High School, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and was active in farming and ranching. He served as a Lampasas County commissioner, served on the Lampasas School Board, and was active in the Lucy Creek Wildlife Association.
Mr. Lancaster was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers John and Thomas Lancaster, his sister Ruth Smith and nephew Norman Smith, and step-daughter Carolyn.
He is survived by his wife Sue Lancaster of Lampasas, brother David Lancaster and wife Robin of Lampasas, daughter Cheryl McMahan and husband Pat of San Antonio, son Brad Lancaster and Patricia Roberts of Lampasas, daughter Charlsey Nisley of Georgetown and Dan Nisley of Waco, step-son Robert Holt of Lampasas; and numerous grandchildren and great-children.
Visitation for Mr. Lancaster will be held Saturday May 16, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Sunday May 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Smith School Creek Cemetery.
