Bernard Dreher Broeker Jr.,(Bud) age 74 of Spicewood, TX died Tuesday April 28, 2015 at his place in Kempner. Bernard was born November 6, 1940 in Bethlehem, PA the son of Bernard Dreher Broeker Sr. and Katherine (Oostdyke) Broeker. He grew up in Pennsylvania and went to the Hill School in Pottstown. He married Margaret Shipp on May 12, 1960. Bernard attended Cornell University and graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA in 1965. He went to work for Bell Labs and they sent him to the University of Illinois, where he earned his Masters degree in 1966. He went back to work at Bell Labs. He moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1969 and began working for Motorola. Bernard retired in 1998 and decided he wanted to be a fireman. He did just that for Hudson Bend Fire Department. Later he attended Texas A & M Fire School and was a member of Kempner Volunteer Fire Department for 10 years.

Sister, Katherine Broeker Cundey of Florida
A memorial service will be held on Friday May 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. A reception will follow at The Hostess House from 3 until 5 p.m.
