Von Douglas Yount, age 83 of Lampasas, TX died Monday March 16, 2015 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lampasas, where he was part of the Yoke Fellow Sunday School class and a deacon emeritus. Doug was born July 19, 1931 in McCamey, TX the son of Otto Yount and Mary (Lamb) Yount.
Doug joined the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. After the military Doug lived in Ft. Worth and worked as an ad-valorem tax analyst. He later moved to the Houston area and continued that type work. He moved to Lampasas in 1982 and owned businesses selling furniture and appliance repair.

Lori Dellinger of Corpus Christi
Step-daughter, Kim Stripling of Round Rock
Step-son, Tim Miller of Lampasas
Sister, Rosemary Shahan of Midland
12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren also survive
Doug was preceded in death by a brother, John.
A memorial service for Doug Yount will be held on Wednesday March 18, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lampasas. Doug’s body will be cremated.
