Tyler Andrew Garcia was born on November 8, 1999 in Temple Texas. He died at his residence in Iowa Park, TX on October 26, 2014. He is survived by his father, Andrew Garcia III, brothers, Dylan and Noah Garcia all of Lampasas, Jimmy Harrison, mother and step father Roxanne and Justin Jones of Iowa Park, his grandmother Ernestine Garcia, grandfather and grandmother Andrew and Ruth Garcia, grandmother Sandra Adams of Lampasas, grandfather Larry Peterson of Colorado Springs, great grandmother Ann Peterson of Colorado Springs, great grandmother Lorenza Seballos of Coleman, aunt and uncle Marisol and Michael Daugherty of Round Rock, uncle Cameron Garcia of Denton, and cousins Bella and Gabriella Daugherty of Round Rock. Tyler was reared in Lampasas, and lived the last year in Iowa Park, where he was a member of the AFJROTC, band, Ag and theater arts at Iowa Park High School. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. His favorite place to hang out was his Momo’s. Tyler had a huge heart for service and loved helping others. Among his volunteer activities he worked in the pantry and kitchen at St. Mary’s, stock shows and volunteered in various other community organizations. Tyler was a very active member of his Catholic faith. He served as an altar boy and attended religious education at St. Mary’s. Tyler was a very kind, and giving person who loved his friends, family and faith. He loved to cook, bake and even sew to make gifts for others. Our beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend was a selfless young man who has left a deep loss in our lives. His memory and spirit will forever be living with us until we see him again in heaven. A rosary will be said Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 6pm, Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. A funeral mass will be held for Tyler Sunday, November 2, 2014, 3 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lampasas. He will be cremated.
