Elisabeth Burns

Elisabeth Ziegelmuller Burns, age 85 of Lampasas, TX died October 23, 2014 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital ER. Elisabeth was born July 18, 1929 in Nussloch, Germany the daughter of August Ziegelmuller and Maria Katharina (Wulf) Ziegelmuller. October 2, 1948 she married David Cecil Burns and in the mid 50’s she moved to Lampasas where she has lived ever since. Mrs. Burns worked at Lampasas Nursing and Rehab for over 40 years, starting as a nurse’s aid. She later was certified as a medication aide. Divesicare honored her service by naming her employee of the year in 2011. She was a member of the Broad Street Church of Christ. Survivors include her son, Bill Burns and his wife, Nancy of Lampasas, TX Grandson: Brian Burns and his wife, Melissa of Willis, TX Great Grandsons: Johnathan, Chris, and Ryan all of Willis, TX Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Amy and Emily and by her husband. Funeral services will be held Monday October 27, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the First Street Church of Christ in Lampasas. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be Sunday October 26, 2014 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice.
