Merlita Garner

Merlita Garner, age 64 of Lampasas, TX died Saturday September 13, 2014 at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple. Merlita was born July 11, 1950 in the Philippines daughter of Ombelino Rasgo Candelario and Rufina (Agapito) Candelario. She was a homemaker. Merlita enjoyed gardening, going antique shopping, and volunteering at church. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and had lived in Lampasas since 1979. Survivors include her son, Don Carl Garner Jr. of Lampasas Sister, Melinda Soliven of Philippines Brothers in law, Jimmy Garner of Dallas Eddie Garner of Lampasas Sisters in law, Susie Wakeland of Lampasas Dicie Meredith of Conroe Grandson, Zachary Adam Merrell of Lampasas Best friend, Terry Stephenson Merlita was preceded in death by her husband, Don Carl Garner. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at 7 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass will be Thursday September 18, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
