Billye Greer

Billye Louise Greer, age 85 of Lampasas, TX died Tuesday September 9, 2014 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital. Billye was born February 9, 1929 in Nolanville, TX the daughter of John Newton Bowland and Altha V. (Oldham) Bowland. Billye grew up in San Saba, TX and on August 16, 1945 she married R.O. Greer Jr. She had been a resident of Lampasas since 1945. She was a member of First Christadelphian Church in Lampasas and was a homemaker. Her greatest joy was her family, especially the grandkids. Survivors include her daughters; Joan Greer Caskey of Florence Donna Jane Greer of Lampasas Theresa Greer Kiser of Buchanan Dam Son, R.O. Greer III of Lometa Grandchildren; Kevin, Clint, Corey, Katie, Jennifer, Johnathan, Will, Micah, Nick, T.J., and R.O. IV. 21 great-grandchildren also survive Billye was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Louise Bonnet, by husband R. O. Greer Jr, by 5 sisters; Sue Dale Ross, Lela Mae Owens, Jewel Parks, Laura Sirkel, Laura Aileen Tucker and by 2 brothers; John Olan Bowland and John Newton Bowland Jr. Visitation for Mrs. Billye Greer will be Thursday September 11, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday September 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
