Ruth L. Whitted

Ruth Lorene Whitted, age 88 of Lampasas, TX died Friday September 5, 2014 at Spring Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lampasas, TX. Ruth was born November 10, 1925 in Ponca City, OK the daughter of Lemuel Henry and Althea (Bradley) Henry. She was a resident of the community since 1975. Ruth owned and operated City Florist for several years locally. She married William H. Witted in 1980 and she was a Baptist. Ruth loved fishing at Bend State Park and on the Texas coast. Survivors include her husband W.H. “Bill” Whitted of Lampasas Daughters; Shirley Patterson of Tyler Jennifer Venable of Kempner 6 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren 5 nieces and 3 nephews also survive Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter, Jane Shaver, by son-in-law, Nolan Venable and by brother, Jack. Visitation for Mrs. Ruth Whitted will be Monday September 8, 2014 from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday September 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
