Beth Powers Carlile, age 81 of Round Rock, TX died Tuesday August 12, 2014 at St. David’s Hospital in Georgetown. Beth was born September 1, 1932 in Lometa, TX the daughter of Carl Edgar Powers and Ella Elizabeth (Lumpkins) Powers. She worked as a distribution clerk for TXU. Beth was a member of the Church of Christ. She also belonged to several other organizations, including the Red Hat Society, the American Business Women’s Association, the Order of the Eastern Star, American Legion Auzilliary, and the AARP. She was also a founding member of the Round Rock Citizen’s Society. Beth loved gardening, reading, and painting.
Survivors include her daughters, Alicia Carlile of Round Rock
Ladonna Muennink and husband Louis of Liberty Hill
Grandchildren: Renee Wells, Jennifer Ayers, and Caitlin Muennink
Great-grandchildren: Edwin Mobley, Dillon Kimball, Dwayne Marek, Keith Waller, Kaylee Muennink, and Kallie Muennink
Beth was preceded in death by her husband, Kinneth Ray Carlile, her sister, Faye Jackson, and her granddaughter, Myklyn Adams.
Visitation for Mrs. Carlile will be on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Lometa City Cemetery in Lometa.
