Frankie Valentine Zumwalt

Frankie Valentine Zumwalt, age 96 of Lampasas, TX died Thursday July 31, 2014 at Regal Nursing Home in Lampasas, TX. Frankie was born June 1, 1918 in Burnet County, TX the daughter of Thomas Frank Berry and Julia Etna (Smith) Berry. She married Winfred Zumwalt December 23, 1939; he later passed in 1989. She worked as a beautician in Lampasas and Burnet over the years. Frankie lived in the area all her life and was a member of the Burnet Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her grandson, Jimmy Joe Zumwalt (Lindsay) Daughter-in-law, Cathy Jo Long (Marshall) Brother, Max Berry (Wanda) of Lampasas Sisters, Annette Yates (Lester) of Adamsville Mildred Dodds of Brownwood Sister-in-law, Kathy Berry of Lampasas As well as nieces and nephews Frankie was preceded in death by her husband, her son Jimmy Frank Zumwalt, Her brothers, Edgar “Sonny” Berry and Alton Berry, and by her sister Sue Baxter. Visitation for Mrs. Zumwalt will be Sunday August 3, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow on Sunday August 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Burnet County. Memorials can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
