Susie M Finnell

Susie Mae Finnell, age 89 of Killeen, TX died Thursday May 22, 2014 at the Heart Hospital of Austin. Susie was born July 26, 1924 in Florence, TX the daughter of Jack Hamilton and Elinora (Tasby) Hamilton. She grew up in Burnet, and lived in Lampasas for many years. Susie was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, where she was the secretary for a number of years. She also assisted in organizing meals for holidays and for shut-ins. Survivors include son, Edward Finnell Jr. and wife Mary of Missouri City Daughter, Barbara Butler of Killeen Brothers: Jasper Hamilton Jr. of Dallas Ned Hamilton of Dallas Louis Hamilton of Dallas Michael Arce of Burnet Wilford Hamilton of Dallas Sisters: Bertha Faye Bethany of Dallas Lola Hamilton of Dallas Grandchildren: John Butler, Nakia Butler, Veda Lewis, Dwayne Finnell, Kimberly Defreitas, Shanna Finnell, Delvin Finnell, Kelvin Finnell, Tomeka Burton, Tawana Peterson, TaNeisha Burton, and B.J. Burton 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren Susie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Edward Finnell, her daughter, Janice Burton, 2 sisters, Lucille White and Dora Lee Dixon, and her granddaughter, Sasha Butler. Funeral services for Susie Finnell will be held on Saturday May 31, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
