Dorothy Mae Dents

Dorothy Mae Dents (Tisdale), 86, longtime resident of Lampasas, TX, transitioned to be home with the Lord on Monday, April 28, 2014, with her family by her side in Round Rock, TX. Dorothy was born on July 7, 1927, in Caldwell, TX, to the late John and Willie Mae Tisdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dents, Jr. (May 2, 1999). William and Dorothy were married in 1949. She was a very active and beloved member of the community and could frequently be seen helping her fellow citizens anyway she could.  She was an avid fan of many sports but especially enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs and University of Texas sports. Dorothy is survived by 4 children: Isiah Tisdale (Trudy Tisdale) of Havre de Grace, MD, Marina Willingham (Marion Willingham) of Ft. Worth, TX, Charles Dents (Freda Dents) of North Richland Hills, TX and Dionna Dents (Karen Canales) of Cedar Park, TX. She leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Jemal Dents (Stephanie) of Webster Groves, MO, Jody Dents (Kelli) of Chandler, AZ, Jonathan Dents of North Richland Hills, TX, Stephen Sims of Ft. Worth, TX and Stephanie Maddox of Daytona Beach, FL. Dorothy was also blessed to have 6 great grandchildren: Kelli Tisdale, Jared Dents, Jansen Dents, Jerame Dents, Sydney Sims and Stephen Sims.  Two great great grandchildren: Jada Tisdale and Joelle Tisdale Neal. The visitation will be at 12:00pm on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at New Covenant Church in Lampasas followed by memorial service at 1:00pm.  A private burial will be held at a later date.
