James Darr

James N. Darr, 64 of Lampasas, TX died Tuesday April 22, 2014 at his home. James was born January 24, 1950 in Cumberland, MD the son of Ray Thomas Darr and Shirley (Gray) Darr. He was a devoted family man and proudly served his country as a sailor and a soldier. He retired after 23 years that included many duty stations here and abroad. Jim and his family moved to the area in 1993. He was a longtime employee of General Dynamics as a helicopter mechanic at Ft. Hood. He also owned and operated a video store on Key Ave called Flash from the Past.   Survivors include wife, Barbara Darr of Lampasas Daughter, Jessica Miller and husband Jamie of Virginia and their daughter Jade Daughter, Elizabeth Brackett and husband Nicholas of Lampasas.     A memorial service for James Darr will be held Saturday April 26, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. James’ body will be cremated.   He was preceded in death by his parents, step father, Jefferson Morgan II and half brother, Jeff Morgan III.
