Mamie Mae Bouchelle

Mamie Mae Bouchelle, age 97 of Copperas (formerly) Lampasas, TX died Monday February 17, 2014 at Hill Country Rehab and Nursing Center in Copperas Cove. Mamie was born September 2, 1916 in Oakalla, TX the daughter of William A. Brittain and Sarah (Smith) Brittain. Mamie was a homemaker and was married to W.F. McElroy Sr. who preceded her in death and she later married Carroll V. Bouchelle who also preceded her in death. Mamie had lived in Killeen for 40 years and in Lampasas since 1972. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jo Johnson of Copperas Cove 3 sisters; Ella Mae Taylor of Hamilton Willie B. Spillar and Dollie Hester both of Copperas Cove. 3 grandchildren; Randel Johnson, Ricky Johnson (Jina), Becky Ellis (Fuzz) 7 great-grandchildren 7 great great-grandchildren also survive. Mamie was preceded in death by 2 sisters, 3 brothers, 2 husbands and by her son, W.F. McElroy Jr. Visitation will be Friday February 21, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel with funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Gillum Cemetery at Oakalla, TX.
