Morgan Neal Henderson

Morgan Neal Henderson, age 85 of Lampasas, TX died Monday February 10, 2014 at his home. Neal was born June 21, 1928 in Burnet County, TX the son of Marshall Henderson and Zula (McCoy) Henderson. He married Verde Ola Carlile September 2, 1950 and had lived in Lampasas all of his life. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lampasas and Saratoga Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting and traveling. Neal worked at Ft. Hood in civil service for 32 years and after retiring was a rancher.   He is survived by his wife, Verde Ola Henderson of Lampasas Sisters-in-law, Jean Henderson, Elsie Dean Boyd Brother-in-law, Bufard Carlile Several nieces and nephews     Neal was preceded in death by his parents and by brothers; Cecil and Wayne and by sister, Von Dean Henderson Turney.   A funeral service will be held Thursday February 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas with burial following in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday February 12, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.   Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church
