Joe Trendle Mullins, age 79 of Lampasas, TX died Tuesday February 11, 2014 at his home. Joe was born November 5, 1934 in Briggs, TX the son of James Basey Mullins and Johnnie Marie (Isbell) Mullins. Joe volunteered to serve in the Army in 1954 and served in Germany. November 29, 1958 he married Wilda Louise Queen. After his service he went to work for the U.S. Civil Service as a painter and later became an estimator. After he retired from the Civil Service he worked at the pro shop at Hancock Park Golf Course for 13 years. Joe loved to work, to play golf, refinish furniture, and read.
He is survived by his wife Wilda Mullins of Lampasas
Daughter: Tammy Smith and husband, Frank of Round Rock
Sister: Nelda Jean Cox of Killeen
Grandchildren: Logan Alexander Smith, Lacey Louise Smith, and Landon Joe Smith
As well as several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his son Jody Mullins, twin brother Wrendle “Reed” Mullins and brothers; V.G. “Moon” Mullins and James Mullins and by sister Wanda Baker,
A visitation for Mr. Mullins will be held Friday February 14, 2014 from 6:00 p.m.-8:00p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held Saturday February 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
