Pearl Josephine Potts, age 98 of Lometa, TX died Friday January 24, 2014 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas, TX. Pearl was born December 29, 1915 in Temple, TX the daughter of Ulysses J. Baugh Sr. and Etta Miranda (Netherland) Baugh. She grew up in Temple and after graduating from High School, worked for Goodyear Tire in Temple. She met Oran Dale Potts and they were married November 1, 1934. They lived in Temple for a number of years and then moved back to Lometa where Oran and his brother went into business. Pearl was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Lometa where she was very active in church work. She was also a member of the Lometa Garden Club and Pearl enjoyed playing bridge.

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Oran and by sister, Dottie Bandy and by brothers; Flay Baugh and U.J. Baugh Jr.
Visitation will be Sunday Jan 26, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held Monday January 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Lometa, TX. Burial will be in Lometa City Cemetery.
