Jerry Fontaine McGehee

Jerry Fontaine McGehee, age 87 of Lampasas, TX died Tuesday January 21, 2014 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, TX. Jerry was born January 2, 1927 in Merkel, TX the son of Allen Alexander McGehee and Ida (Petrie) McGehee. Jerry married Sharon Taylor in September of 1978 in Ft. Worth. Jerry was an accountant for Chrysler Corporation for many years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lampasas and enjoyed Triple L. Survivors include his wife, Sharon McGehee of Lampasas Daughter, Suzanne LaPorte of Washington, D.C. Sons; Bobby McGehee and Carolyn of Houston Larry McGehee and Stephanie of Cleburne Bill McGehee of Arlington Bradley Burnette and Vic Burnette both of Lampasas Brother, Edward McGehee of Houston Sister, Billie Malone of Merkel, TX Mother-in-law, Myrtle Wilborn of Lampasas Sister-in-law, Sue King of Lampasas 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Allen. Visitation will be Thursday Jan 23, 2014 from 5-6 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held Friday January 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lampasas, TX. Burial will be next week in Ft. Worth, TX.
