Sibyl M. Scott

Sibyl Madelene Scott, age 97 of Lampasas, TX died Thursday December 26, 2013 at Lutheran Ministries – Sunset Home in Clifton. Sibyl was born October 14, 1916 in Marlin, TX, the daughter of Albert H. Chamberlain and Morene (Harwell) Chamberlain. Sibyl was a homemaker and a member of the Lampasas County community for the last 68 years. She married Grady Scott May 28, 1938 in Trinity, TX; sadly, Grady passed away in 1991after 53 years of marriage. Sibyl was a member of the Adamsville Presbyterian Church and a bookkeeper for local trailer sales. She enjoyed church, sewing, working in her garden, and feeding others when they came by. Survivors include her 4 daughters: Paula White of Killeen Wanda Hartman and her husband, John of LaGrange Sue Alice Patterson and her husband, Gene of Clifton Clara Ruth Chandler and her husband, Ray of Clifton 2 Sisters-in-law: Lillie Chamberlain of Trinity Thelma Chamberlain of Huntsville 8 grandchildren 15 great-grandchildren 2 great-great-grandchildren Sibyl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Grady Scott, brothers: Allen and Guy Chamberlain, sister: Motee Perry, son-in-law: Carl White, and 2 grandchildren: Roy White and Jennifer Patterson. A memorial service for Mrs. Scott will be held Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel.
