Martin Luther Lewis

Martin Luther Lewis, age 76 of Kempner, TX died Tuesday December 17, 2013 at his home. Martin was born October 28, 1937 the son of Kenneth Joseph Lewis and Mary Bonnie (Lacko) Lewis. He married Diane Nusbaum on February 24, 1979; they were married for 34 years. Martin worked scheduling loads for a steel mill in Indiana for a number of years. He served as a supervisor for Caterpillar in IL. Martin was a member of TOPS, the Copperas Cove Senior Center where he was a past president and treasurer, AARP, the Lion’s Club in Killeen, the Bob Gilmore Senior Center, and the Moose Lodge. He also enjoyed playing as Santa Claus around the holidays. Martin had been a resident of Kempner since 1998. Survivors include his wife: Diane Lewis of Kempner, TX Sons: Steven Alan Lewis of FL John A. Lewis of MO James P. Lewis and his wife, Lisa of MO Kenneth Reach and his wife, Donna of IA Joseph Reach and his wife, Deborah of IN Daughter: Donna Delph and her husband, Robert of AL Sister: Mary Ann Jones and her husband, Al of IN 10 Grandchildren 5 Great-grandchildren And many nieces and nephews Martin was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter: Sherrie Ebbins, and 3 sisters: Shirley, Shelby, and Josie. A memorial service for Mr. Lewis will be held Monday December 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Martin’s body is to be cremated.
