David Charles Lewis

David Charles Lewis, age 77 of Lampasas, TX died Friday December 20, 2013 at Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas, TX. David was born December 16, 1936 in Gorman, TX the son of Rufus David Lewis and Ometa Joy (Roberts) Lewis. He served in the Army for a number of years and retired as a Sergeant Major (SGM). David also worked as a computer operator for a number of years. He was a resident of the Lampasas community since 2007 and a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Copperas Cove, TX. Survivors include his wife: Camellia A. Fischer of Lampasas, TX Son: Amos Lewis and his wife, Anita of Ohio Daughter: Davida Varner and her husband, Brian of Killeen, TX Step-son: Harold Fischer and his wife, Caroline Step-daughter: JoAnne Wiley and her husband, Guy Brother: Rufus Eugene Lewis and his wife, Alicia of Abilene, TX Sister: Doris Frith and her husband, Ray of Midland, TX David was preceded in death by his parents, his 1st wife: Barbara Jean Lewis, his brother: Larry Ray Lewis, his sister: Ruby Stewart, and his step-father: William Clark. A visitation for Mr. Lewis will be held Sunday December 22, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Copperas Cove, TX. Burial will follow at Desdemona Cemetery in Eastland County, TX.
