Doris Richardson

Doris Richardson, age 88 of Lampasas, TX died Sunday December 15, 2013 at Spring Oaks Nursing Home in Lampasas, TX. Doris was born June 22, 1925 in Doyle, LA the daughter of Johnny Stafford and Francis (McDonald) Stafford. She married Joseph Berry Richardson in Baton Rouge, LA in 1944 and moved to Lampasas in 1945 where she has lived ever since. Doris worked as a nurse for a number of years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, the Red Hatters, and the 1st Baptist Church. Survivors include her son: Johnny Joseph Richardson of Lampasas Daughters: Margaret Lee Hopkins of Harker Heights Peggy Jo Brooks of Lometa Brother: Gerald Stafford of Louisiana Sister: Janice Sherman of Louisiana 18 Grandchildren 26 Great-grandchildren Doris was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph Richardson, her daughters: Landa and Bonnie, her sons: David and Robert, her granddaughter: Jodi, her brothers: Burt, Lumas, and Delmas, and her sister: Kathleen. A memorial service for Mrs. Richardson will be held Friday December 20, 2013 at Noon at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Doris’s body is to be cremated.
