Lorean R Guess

Lorean R. Guess, age 100, of New Braunfels, TX (formerly of Lampasas, TX) died Friday December 13, 2013 at a care facility in New Braunfels. Lorean was born May 3, 1913 in Mills County, TX the daughter of Phillip Bright Reynolds and Viola Felecia (Mayo) Reynolds. She married Prentis Hibler and they had lived in Burnet County and Houston. Lorean also lived in Freeport from 1948 until 1973 when she moved back to Lampasas. After Prentis’ death she later married Alvin Lloyd Guess. Alvin died in 1996 and Lorean had mostly lived in New Braunfels area since. Lorean was a homemaker and earlier had started her own small business in Lampasas, Cash Grocery. Survivors include 4 children; Isabella Cammack of Brazoria, TX Otis Hibler of Bulverde, TX Kathy Brown of San Antonio, TX Phyllis Randall of Dallas, TX Sister, Easter Hibler of Brazoria county 10 grandchildren 19 great-grandchildren 3 great great-grandchildren Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning December 17, 2013 at Sneed Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday December 17, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
