Mildred Ann Bates

Mildred Ann Bates, age 77 of Lampasas, TX died Wednesday October 30, 2013 at Regal Nursing and Rehabilitation in Lampasas, TX. Mildred was born February 14, 1936 in Wise County, VA the daughter of Clarence McArthur and Retta (Sheets) McArthur. She married Franklin Bates on April 9, 1954 in Bel Air, MD. Mildred was a homemaker and a member of the Lampasas community since 1970. Survivors include her husband, Franklin Bates of Lampasas Sons: Franklin Dwayne Bates of Temple Robert Lee Bates and his wife, Shannon of Plano Daughters: Teresa Ann Rotge and her husband, Jay of San Antonio Jennifer V. Bates of Grand Prairie Sister: Wanda June Bates 9 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren Mrs. Bates was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, and 4 sisters. Visitation for Mrs. Bates will be on Thursday October 31, 2013 from 6:00p.m. -8:00 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. A service will be held Friday November 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel; burial will follow at Kempner City Cemetery.
