Travis Dean Wood

Travis Dean Wood, age 61, of Lampasas, TX died Monday September 23, 2013 at Scott & White Continuous Care Hospital in Temple, TX. Travis was born May 10, 1952 the son of John Henry Wood Jr. and Mary Frances (Rutherford) Wood. He was raised in Elgin, TX. Travis worked in road construction as a heavy equipment operator. He was a resident of Lampasas for the last 4 years. Survivors include; his wife: Cora Cox Wood from Lampasas Daughters: Christy Weeks and her husband, Jamie of Lampasas Patrice Blakley and her husband, Travis of Adamsville Brother: Darrell Wood and his wife, Barbara of Elgin Sister: Carol Wood of Dallas Grandchildren: Cayson Kirkpatrick, Tex Kirkpatrick, Taegen Weeks Tate Blakley, Harley Blakley, and Rankin Blakley. Travis was preceded in death by his son, Denny Wood, and his grandson, Jaxton Weeks. A visitation for Mr. Wood will be held on Friday September 27, 2013 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Travis’s body is to be cremated.
