Bonnie P. Gholson

Bonnie Pearl Gholson, age 79, of Lampasas, TX died Friday September 20, 2013 at Metroplex Hospital in Killeen, TX. Bonnie was born August 9, 1934 in Cuthand, TX the daughter of Charlie E. Barnett and Aline (Ashcraft) Barnett. She married Eldon Gholson in 1960 and has been a member of the community for 46 years. Bonnie worked for LISD for 17 years; as well as at Camp Longhorn and Badger Patch. She enjoyed babysitting and softball. Survivors include; husband, Eldon Gholson of Lampasas Sons: David Gholson and his wife, Wendy of Lampasas Rusty Gholson and his wife, Laura of Belton Jimmy Charles Neyland and his wife, Jan of Gatesville Brothers: John Frank Barnett and his wife, Linda of Moore, OK C.M. Barnett of Brownwood Sisters: Martha Gholson and her husband, Jimmy of Burnet Billie Ruth Calhoun and her husband, John of Burnet Tommie Viola Thaden and her husband, Ron of Lubbock Linda Vietch of Chandler May Ann Meredith of Lubbock Grandchildren: Hunter Gholson, Gauge Gholson, Timber Gholson, Alexa Gholson, Whitney Jordan, Travis Jordan, Chase Jordan, Amanda Strickland and her husband Justin, and Bre Dimas and her husband Patch. Great-grandchildren: Caden Strickland, Collin Strickland, Kylee Rutledge, and Tagg Dimas As well as numerous nieces and nephews Bonnie was preceded in death by her sister: LaVon Moore, an infant sister, and two of her brothers: Jackie Lynn Barnett and Bobby Willis Barnett. A visitation for Mrs. Gholson will be held on Sunday September 22, 2013 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday September 23, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Sneed Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
